Looking across the Valle d'Aosta

Clear skies and warm sunshine beckoned us out for a gentle stroll this morning before our long car journey back home. These shots were take from a hamlet called Ville above Allein.
Oh, how we could have stayed all day!
Last night we spent a great evening with our neighbours, who insisted we take home some apples from the family orchard (on these mountainsides) before we left. We now have a very large crate of mixed varieties to make use of.
