Remembrance Sunday

It had been a fine enough day, a bit overcast at first.  This afternoon the wind slowly picked up and heavy rain came in and then we've been hit with gale winds all evening, with the odd shower from time to time.

It was a lazy start to the day, I start work a bit later on a Sunday.  The day started off steady in the museum but nothing too overly and then slowed up in the afternoon.  I had plenty of admin work to be getting on with and the quiet spell was a fine opportunity :)
I had been hoping for a fine evening to get out walkies with Sammy.  We have had peerie walks but had to turn back because of the rain.  So instead, pop up to mam's for a cuppa and a chat :)

I timed going to work well with the Remembrance Sunday memorial service.  A good turn out to pay their respects at the war memorial at the town hall and then the parade marched along to St Columba's kirk.  The Lerwick British Legion Pipe Band led the way through the streets with army cadets, war veterans, the Boys Brigade, Sea Scouts and Girl Guides followed behind.  Taken at the Clairmont Place, Lerwick.
