Wrapped
The cellar project has been evolving, and this morning Geoff gave the boys some hours of his valuable time in a lesson in etching, using the hard point technique (probably wrong term, sorry!), in that he cleaned a copper plate, they drew with pen and then scratched in using a metal pencil. They had two goes to develop their ideas, with a print off of each, and they look fabulous. There was a little 'artisitic moment' from this fella, as he thought he wasn't happy with his first attempt and felt he couldn't develop it further. He had so many ideas before and had launched in too soon. He came round soon enough, with the gentle persuasion of a Master. Tomorrow they try wax and acid technique and I'm going to have a go. I'm very excited and a little nervous, because I know I'll do the same as little Agu today. It's all a good lesson in planning.
The temperature today was perfect after the storm, but we are all still feeling fried after various events. They've eaten well and swum and things are afoot for Agu after Ben goes to England, so hopefully that planning will come to fruition. I payed a lot of bills today and that feels good. Maybe one installment of the summer story is wrapped up.
