On The Day Of Our Nation's Birth...
I did nothing. But then again, I feel it would be a bit obnoxious of me to do something spectacular on the same day the Declaration of Independence was signed. The history buffs would be very angry if July 4th happened to be the same day our nation became independent AND I did something phenomenal like find a cure for cancer.
Nah, instead of causing all that hassle, I'll wait til a day when there is no previous historical landmark. I'd hate to have to share an important day like that. I blame my childhood. I was never told that sharing was caring. I was always just told, "get your own loser!" Doesn't have quite the same ring to it oddly. Yet still holds the same power in a young one's mind.
Well I guess I can't say I did nothing. Today I sat on my butt and watched Wife Swap until I was so bored I had to get out of the house, and then I went swimming with Alyssa, and then helped glue her car back together (yes, her actual car, that she drives). Oh, and apparently I lied to you too. Not taht any of you have even read this far in the post. And if you have, congrats to you! You are the reason directions are still printed on everything. Because you aren't lazy enough to just skim.
