Depressing thoughts

Well, if I had any notions that the clearing skies yesterday afternoon were heralding brighter weather coming in from the west, then it was one big mistake.
The rain came again today, I got soaked again while out for the weekend shopping run, but it did give me the opportunity to pull into a roadside layby on the way home to capture this atmospheric Blipfoto through the windscreen.
Not that there is very much that is picturesque about incessant rain although raindrops on the windscreen did provide an unusual aspect of the winter weather in these parts so far.
But snowdrops are out in the garden, in many places around the daffodils are in bloom, and those signs of Spring should give me an uplift of good things to look forward to.
Forgive me if this Blip reflects something different. But at least the weather forecast looks more promising — sunshine by 10am tomorrow, though showers later.  But the prospect for Monday and Tuesday looks good!

But then again, I was optimistic early evening yesterday.
