A quick snack

A little nuthatch decided to try the finches' nyjer feeder while a finch was still attached, so to speak. I actually went out to try to get a pic of the pine siskin that was hanging out with the house sparrows and goldfinches. That was the first one of the season , but it didn't stay. It was one of those days because  a rare visitor showed up and it didn't stay long either. I was looking out the window when I noticed a brown creeper  on the apple tree. By the time I picked up the binoculars it was gone. Then I missed a photo of the redtail that zoomed in and landed  on the pear tree. So I am very grateful that the little nuthatch stayed put long enough to get a photo.
