Garden helpers
The gardener has been asked to clear some plants from the flower bed to improve the view down to the damn - a long over-due task is you ask my husband and I. Things are already looking better for it. It's pretty hard work, and I must be softening as I made the gardener lunch yesterday to fuel him for an afternoon of digging up pretty well established plants. This morning, the three resident calfs in the garden decided to also help in their own special way. The garden doubles up as the calf nursery for poorly calfs - or if they have poorly mothers. The mothers normally hover by the garden gate, waiting for feeding time, whilst their babies have great fun cavorting around the garden.
Dirk and I had a day in town today, baby swimming was just lovely and Xandi is enjoying it more and more. Dirk came to watch and chatted to a mate throughout the lesson, aside when four mothers reprimanded him for not watching his child, it'll probably be a while before he dares to go again.
