The Reception Committee at Sandend

This is the view of Sandend on the Moray coast that greeted us as we stepped off the bus from Aberdeen this afternoon for our pre Easter holiday sans automobile.

We left Edinburgh just after 10 am on the Gold Megabus which boasted a hostess dispensing hot drinks and muffins as we sped up the east coast into a grey Granite city and onward on a trusty no 35 bus through an even greyer Aberdeenshire on what seemed a 2 + hour jaunt round the houses to the road end at Sandend.
From there is was a bumpy trundle of cases down to our holiday house down at the shore on the left of the picture.

And so we are safely installed with the wine and crisps as we watch the Scotland Ireland rugby match. Frankly at this point in time with two glasses of wine under my belt, I no longer care who wins.
