sunrise

Some of you may remember my blip a few months ago of an abstract fireman taken when the Premier Inn fire alarm went off during the night.

Same scenario again but a little later  -  3.50 am. This time instead of going back to bed I put the kettle on, had a few mugs of tea, checked sunrise times, got dressed, scraped the ice off the car windows and went for a drive. 

I parked to the north of St Mary's lighthouse and walked towards it, taking photos as I went. This was my favourite  -  the sun just appearing from behind the bank of cloud. 

The group that set the alarm off were, in the manager's words, evicted. Annoying as it was, I would never have willingly got up that early to get this photo.
