Waste to Energy

There's been a nip in the air but fine and warm when in the lea.  Plenty of sunny spells but mixed with showers.

I've been working all day on the museum desk and it's been another steady day of visitors and families.  Good to see so many tourists about.  I had to do a run out in the morning to snap some photos for the boss.  After tea and it was a deep clean of the house, along with a cuppa at mam's with sister Julie and family and then nipped up to see sister Laura too.  A quiet night at home now :)

This morning I had to nip out for some photos for the boss to use in his forth coming talk this Saturday.  It's all about recycling and I went to the dump for photos and then down to the Waste to Energy Plant.  Interesting to see what happens to the rubbish when we throw it away, this pile is heading for the furnace and then to energy to heat homes for the Lerwick District Heating.  This was also the same grabber that lifted out Robbie Morton, when found dead in the Shetland murder series :)  Taken at the Waste to Energy Plant, Greenhead, Lerwick.
