Marjorie's ramblings

One of the many churches

Apparently there are over 300 churches on the tiny island of Sifnos. Quite remarkable.

I thought I would show you a colour image today, although I am shooting with monochrome in mind all the time.  Also there is one person in our group who manages without fail to step into other people's images. The words "Oh Ian" resonate around the place. Here he is stepping perfectly into my image too! Great fun.

We set out for a dawn shoot but it was just hazy and we abandoned it.

The rest of the day was wonderful. We found an olive grove and Alex quickly obtained permission for us to go into the fields with our cameras. The local people have been very welcoming.

Then we moved to a tiny seaside village. The cafe owner opened today for her first day of the season. She managed to produce a superb lunch in very good time as we sat by the water's edge and ate dish after dish. Photos of the village were secured. Then we had a drive around looking for 3 windmills with no success.

The group is on good form and we ate at an Italian restaurant next to our hotel. We had a great time but I felt sorry for the other diners!

Please look at yesterday's back blip and extras for my Cartier Bresson moments.
