Weekend choice
Well, that’s another week gone by and with the weekend almost here, it’s time to plan the Saturday shopping.
No need to worry about Sunday lunch though, I think the pair are going to serve us proud.
Come to think of it, we have tended to reject the traditional Sunday roast for some weeks now. Well months, actually.
It was sometime long before Christmas that we were first swayed into the prospect of lobster for a change. It seemed there was an abundance of them in the local supermarkets at a price which wasn’t going to break the bank.
And we haven’t looked back. OK, maybe they are relatively small, and they are frozen, which maybe doesn’t quite provide the flavour of one plucked straight from the sea on the south coast. But the difference to my mind isn’t worth arguing about.
Especially as it will save me shopping for a joint of meat tomorrow. I could almost be a vegetarian. But only almost!
For the moment the availability of lobster for a fiver a time, or less, allows our household to indulge ourselves most weekends.
And occasionally during the week, as well!
