Salad days
A day of three halves: garden work, cooking, and the library.
CarbBoy helped me in the garden this morning, pulling out weeds. I'm sure he felt a little despondent that we had cleared such a small area for all our work, but I was quite happy to have some help. More grassy knoll work, then pulling up all last year's parsley to make way for courgettes. CarbBoy helped with processing the parsley into a big jar of parsley pesto and a huge tabbouleh for dinner. It may look here as though CarbBoy was eagerly grabbing a handful of salad, but he had in fact just dropped some rather hot broccoli
It was CarbBoy who had demanded a trip to the library but in the end he preferred hanging out with Jao, so TallGirl and I went. Despite her inability to summon up the courage to ask the very nice librarian why they didn't appear to have any Jules Vernes, we had a successful trip.
Now we are all watching something about mending animals in Guatamala, which I'm sure is going to do more than anything else to encourage study of science.
