Diary of an Edinburgher

Beach Day

Our Kiwi visitors have certainly brought some nice weather with them! Wall to wall sunshine today, even a bit of warmth to it. We saw several people actually sunbathing at the beach, much to the amusement of the Kiwis, who sensibly kept their jackets on.

The visitors' washing was done and hung outside, Archie and Murray played ball in the back garden, I popped tonight's meal in the slow cooker, then we were ready for off.

We had a drive round Holyrood Park, parked at one of my favourite views (see extra) for a while, then on to Portobello Beach (other extra). And it was mobbed!

JR met us at the Beach Caravan, where we had bacon baps, coffee and a liver muffin for Arch. Murray and I took Archie along the beach a bit, then had ice creams. It was all rather pleasant, people watching and dog watching (two schnauzers).

Well, it was all rather pleasant except for 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' booming out every few minutes from the nearby amusement arcade. Nice.
