Sky high collie....

A white start today with a wee covering of snow. It soon melted when the sun came out but still cold.
A day spent on garden duty. Mrs f wants a tidy up,but as usual there never seems to be the time. So 3 men ,2 chain saws and a tractor and loader attacked the holly and other branches up both sides of the front drive. Then Scottish Power tree lads arrived to cut trees away from near the HV and LV power lines up the yard. Ended up with 5 chainsaws going at one stage.
Last job for today was to cut a snagged pine tree that was threatening to come down on the drive way. .Managed to shift it closer to the ground with the tractor then set about turning it into logs.
Now walking like John Wayne - the old back doesn't like this kind of abuse. Mrs F wondered why we hadn't tackled the beech hedge too.
No comment(at least not a printable one ! )
The collie on the cart shed gable said the breeze and wintry showers were coming from the north east today.
