Boat Delivery

It was a cloudy start to the day, some sunny spells this afternoon and a brighter evening, well clouded over again!

I had a busy morning scanning old photos in the museum.  After tea break, I attended a dementia training course.  It was really interesting and good to know my own knowledge was correct.  Met mam for lunch after and then back to work for a busy afternoon.  Mad dash after tea, the rush to work in the pub but an early finish.  A quiet night home, and the odd walkies with Sammy.

This afternoon I was helping Laurence  (Smith, Bigton) and we were fetching artefacts from a dive boat, Sunrise from Orkney.  They had been diving off Skerries and retrieved lead ballast from an old wreck, and what a weight!  Laurence got a loan of a forklift to get the lead out of the boat and on pallets for the truck.  Pictured here is Laurence in the forklift and skipper George Sinclair in high-vis, taken at the Bressay slip, Lerwick.
