Day 1

Well - we are off on holiday.

We stayed at the hotel st Glasgow airport last night as we had to book in at 5am today.

When we arrived at the hotel we thought we had arrived in a parallel word......there was a ?Manga? convention being held there and there were some very stange peoplein some very strange costumes.

We headed over to the airport for a meal (a lot cheaper than the hotel) and it was empty - and I mean empty. There was nobody but nobody in the departure halls............turns out there were no evening or overnight flights.
Very strange for an international airport.

So we had to get up in the middle of the night (about the time I was going to bed last weekend) to book in for a 7am flight.

It was bloody freezing.

But it was nice and warm when we arrived in Marseilles.

When we got onto the boat that is to be our home for the next (very nearly) three weeks we were able to sit and relax - and sunbathe.

Great..............mid November and sunbathing.
I think I am going to enjoy this holiday.

We stood on our balcony (yes - we have a cabin with a private balcony) and watched the pilots boat shadow us out of port and the yachts race for home as the sun went down and tuned them into beautiful golden ornaments.

I think it will be an early night tonight so that we can make the most of tomorrow.

And where will that take us?
