The Small Tortoiseshell

there were one of two of these flying around today & I also managed to take a picture of a male Large Skipper -, the shot wasn't great but I have included it in the extras

I picked my Mum up from the bus this morning & brought her home for lunch & then Nicola & Zak joined us. After lunch C & I took Mum to see Carol's mum. It was quite a short visit but the girls were pleased to see each other for a while.

Dropped her back at the bus station at 15 50 where she would hopefully catch the 1610 bus home (if there was one) I've heard nothing so I assume she is on her way ok.

I think my cough might be easier today.

A warm fine sunny day....

Tomorrow I am 58 - how is it possible that I am that old ??
