Hospital Day Three

Well, I had a lovely sleep last night - right through till 5am when I asked for painkillers and went to sleep again. I don't think I moved all night. It was so peaceful.

Big whopping bandage off today, to reveal a set of glistening staples down the front of my knee. Today I discarded my zimmer and though I'm not exactly whizzing around on my walking sticks, I'm independently mobile, which makes life in hospital more bearable. I wish I could say otherwise, but the nurses don't exactly tend to your every wish, you're kind of left to fend for yourself. More physio - harder stuff. Right angle bend required.

JR arrived bearing big plump cherries and news of Archie. He's had a couple of his wee 'turns' in the morning, then fine all day. A grumpy dog attacked him yesterday! But he had a cute wee schnauzer to play with today. Anne took him out while JR came to visit, and she sent a cute photo of him too.

Enjoying my Walter Presents downloads. Also Radio 4 downloads, where I can close my eyes and listen to them. But I was so excited to have my iPhone hotspot and read the papers etc on my iPad all day, so I have no data plan left, so will just log on, post my blip and log off.

They seem to be bringing the courses one at a time now. How sensible. Pretty tasteless mac'n'cheese. Nice peas. Forget what's for pud, it will be a nice surprise...
