The builder says it's ok if we want to go up on the scaffolding.  Not me thanks. 

On arrival at 8 they started dropping the old felt and battens into a tipper truck. Then a tractor arrived with an enormous trailer and all the tiles landed in that with a crash.  I left to do some shopping in Kendal. 

The roofer was still fixing the new battens when I got back and the others were digging to expose drains. Thought it might be a good idea if I left the men to it so I walked to the garden centre for a browse, deliberately leaving my money at home.
