Diary of an Edinburgher

More sport

Well, summer seems to be over for the time being - dreich all day. Ideal for Olympics watching. What would I do without them, having been immobilised with my new knee for weeks. Mind you, I'll be doing it all again later this year, but I won't think of that yet...

Anne has been so busy with her Fringe show of late, but took a day off for some 'Archie Time' today.

Briefly, I thought of venturing into town, but soon dismissed that silly idea. People knocking me over on the pavement, drizzle, crowded buses (though I'd be sure of getting a seat. I think...)

With JR in town and Archie out for the day, I watched a variety of sports (switching over when boxing came on), ate some Pringles, had a visit from Uncle A (who has been to a few shows).

I'll watch the hockey final tonight. They've certainly changed the rules since my brief hockey career at school - it looks bloomin' dangerous now, with sticks swinging above shoulder level, the ball flying at head height, and players being stretchered off every five minutes.

Archie is concurring with the sentiments on the coaster that JR got for her birthday. Though I started today with him lying on my pillow, curled round my head. Not that I mind.
