Bank Holiday

We had a brilliant day today!! Katie started the day with a clarinet lesson and worked really hard. We then went home and packed up ready for a day out. We drove over to Easingwold Maize Maze. We met friends there and had such a brilliant day. The maze was great, the two carting tracks, a bouncy slide, a bouncy maze, sand pits, a magician.... We had a picnic and Granny & Grandad came to join us. There were garden games, hay bales, small animals to cuddle (we'd have left with two bunnies if they hadn't all been sold), ice lollies.... it was a fabulous afternoon in beautiful sunshine with great company. I love the extra but I know we see "Katie jumping excitedly on stuff" quite a lot. She had at first refused to ride the big go karts- she willingly went on the tandem carts but wouldn't go on her own. But at the end of the afternoon, she had a happy half hour zooming round feeling very proud of herself!

We said goodbye to our friends and went for dinner with Granny & Grandad. We ended up at York Harvester. Katie was very excited! She loves the salad bar and the sweet potato fries. Happy Girl.
