Mendocino Coast

After another 300 miles, that's 800 covered in the last a couple of days, we've made our way into North California along the rugged Pacific coastline. We've reached Albion on the Mendocino shoreline and this is the view from our lodge lounge... all kinds of wildlife circling the waters and the bridge in the background on the bay makes for a very pleasant view.

The day started with a 10 mile run on Gold Beach at 06.30 that had to be delayed until 07.05 as it was too dark to start. It was freezing also as the waves came crashing in on the first mile. Quick breakfast then back on Highway 101. We picked this road up in Seattle and have followed it down the entire way to Albion and shall continue on it to San Fransisco come Saturday. It trails down the coast to L.A and in total covers 3 states and over 1700 miles...

It's rather chilly so the log fire is on... who needs a sticky heatwave anyway..
