still waters....

you know it's going to be a good day when i) it's friday, ii) the sun is shining iii) you take your daily blip pic within 30 mins of waking up!

Friday...at last..with working last weekend, i am looking forward to not setting the alarm on Sunday (tomorrow i'm up early off out with Jo & Matthew). this morning i woke at 5.45am and thought i'd grasp the day by the scruff of the neck and go out for a bike ride down to the canal.

called at Mands on the way, just as bro & Mel had finished loading the van to depart back to the IOM. great to see him again.

down to the canal, and so calm, and peaceful. knew i'd get the perfect photo opportunity, but only had iphone with me. as i turned the corner here, i saw the sun breaking through, the lock, the mist and the two swans.....perfect!

took pic, and then checked out the status of the sloes (growing on a tree behind the swans), nowehere near ripe yet.

back home for 7am, then breakfast, shower, into work for 9am - love the traffic in the summer hols!!

good day at work. visited the fishmonger at lunch, got 2 quality tuna steaks from him.

home and in for 7pm in time to watch olympics and Tom Daley in the diving heats. not many days left of the fabulous olympics. it's been amazing!! tweeted Clare Balding to say how brilliant her and Mark Foster had been commentating on the swimming, and got a reply! (that's another to go with my Becky Adlington one!)
