I made The Games.
The Closing Ceremony was brilliantly done I thought. The shapes I photographed on a few evenings became apparent when the show started, and something else fell into place too.
On Saturday night I met one of the Olympic Flame Security team with 3 of the lanterns.
I thought nothing of it until part way through the Closing Ceremony when I saw the cauldron had been moved.
Of course, to do that, The Flame had to be transferred back to a lantern and then relit from the lantern.
Funny how seemingly insignificant things link to much bigger things.
Lord Coe said Gamesmakers can say "I made The Games." I was overwhelmed when he said that. It is lovely that we have been held in such high regard and I would recommend volunteering at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 to everyone.
The journey back was amusing. A packed train but thankfully I had reserved my seat. I found it amusing that for the last 2 weeks millions of people have moved freely around London yet the day after we can't get a few hundred onto a train :)

Another man said he'd seen me on the news and congratulated me, which was great.
Before I left London I saw this legacy on the flat window from when we were asked to back the bid.
So I am home. The washer is on, the cat has ignored me, Adam gets back tomorrow from his Challenge exploits, Mrs. P has cooked a lovely meal and I am relaxing on the sofa. And early night I think
