Soggy

Today has been a rainy day in Nice. Disappointing.

We marched ourselves off the the Old Town for a bit of culture because the Nice Promenade isn't much fun unless you like shingly beaches and extreme wealth. We had a lovely meander and mostly enjoyed the varying colours of crumbly buildings and shutters aplenty. We scaled a hill (sans flip flops) but then had to shelter from the rain with some obnoxious French teenagers wearing too much eyeliner and listening to heavy metal. Stopped for a ridiculously cheap and cheesy pizza then came back to the hotel to dry out.

The evening took on a fairly similar pattern. Thankfully, the sun is set to return tomorrow.
