Thrawn
Every alternative Saturday I try to get down to see my mother. So today after the shop and visit to the aunt, I headed down the coast with our son in time for lunch.
My role was to sort out her tax return ahead of the end of the month.
Our son's was to help move things around in the garden and tidy up the leaves. It was a bitterly cold day but sunny. So I had the warmer task. At one point though I was locked out of the HMRC website so went out to see if I could help.
I found my mother raking up the leaves so our son could bend down and bag them. She was insistent she would do this despite our offers of help. We pressed a few times - she is approaching 97 - but she was determined to do this task herself. She likes to keep herself active ..... but is now thinking of using a walking stick. I just hope I've inherited some of her active genes!
So back to the tax for me and we all survived!
The extra is of the stunnng evening sky on the way home and the overhead lines of the main east coast line (I was not driving!)
