Da Lochend Lounge

It was a lovely calm and sunny morning, a bit more cloudy in the afternoon, and showers this evening.

Up early, and got out with Sammy after breakfast.  We enjoyed a fine walk about Scalloway, and it seemed like every dog in the whole village was out and about too.  After lunch, we headed up north, had a brisk walk and then popped by auntie Joan and uncle Magnie in North Roe.  I had planned more walkies for tonight, but the rain has put both of us off, so me and Sammy are watching telly on the sofa :)

Heading to auntie Joan's, we passed by the old Lochend hall.  The hall has been lying derelict for years now, and was almost ready to blow away.  Recently a group of guys from the area have taken matters into their own hands, and started work on it.  A new paint job, a little TLC to the roof etc, it's starting to look fresh and loved again, even has a stove installed.  Auntie Joan says it's now called Da Lochend Lounge, and had a good few nights there, like it used to be :)  Taken at Lochend, North Roe.
