National trust fun
We had a trip to our local National Trust property today - Chedworth Villa. They are the remains of a Roman villa and Victorian hunting lodge. Between a 6 month old, a toddler and a philistine mother, none of us were that taken with the ruins of the baths. That said, there was a very special feel to the place, very calm and serene. It was quite amazing to see the old baths and see how they were used. In true British style for a day trip, there was a huge down pour, we had to take refuge in the coffee shop - shame......
Despite the rain, I got a run in this afternoon at nap time, not quite as long as I wanted. Neither child wanted to sleep, so parental help was needed to get them to sleep and I think we both had a sneaky 5 (or maybe 40) minutes. Thus, it needed to be a quick run to get back and get things done.
