Leighton Moss

Had to go to Morecambe for a car service as Toyota do not appear to have found south Cumbria yet. On the way back I took the opportunity to visit the RSBP reserve at Leighton Moss for the first time. Despite the showery weather I had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours visiting all the hides. Sightings today included marsh harrier, red deer, teal, shoveller and other duck varieties which hopefully I will soon be able to name, swans, pheasants, geese and regular garden birds. Still getting to grips with panning with the big lens - this picture of a rather ungainly looking shoveller duck was probably my best effort.
