Diary of an Edinburgher

Three games!

The expected delivery of the new router, between 8-9am, as promised by VM in several texts, did not eventuate. And as 8am is almost the middle of the night, normally, I had to make a special effort to be alert awake.

Apart from that it's been a grand day. Perfectly mizzly outside for a day in front of the TV watching three rugby games! A bottle of beer and a box of Pringles to hand... the downside being I have to listen all day to grown men talking about the floor when they mean the ground. But Scotland won! The lads did their departing Kiwi coach, Vern Cotter, proud. He was quite emotional at the end. So was I.

Archie went skipping off in the mizzle with Elizabeth, but it did clear up later. He had his usual wonderful time - a long walk meeting lots of dogs, getting muddy, chasing sticks, paddling in the river. Elizabeth takes him home to wash and dry him before visiting her parents, where he's even more spoiled. He had roast beef treats. Funnily enough, when he came home and was presented with his usual kibble for tea, he just sat and looked at it. He normally wolfs it down when given the OK command.

Elizabeth is going to the USA for a couple of weeks on holiday, so we will all miss her.

This is quite a normal Archie position in the morning. Just as well JR keeps him sweet smelling!

And well done Ireland!
