Local Characters

I had a lovely late afternoon walk along our local lanes. As well as seeing my first Wheatears of the year, I got a little bit closer to some of our brown hares, and lots of Lapwings, spread out across the fields. As long as the weather doesn't turn nasty, I'm sure it will be an excellent year for their breeding. The best poser was a Meadow Pipit, and a large Buzzard was in the fields close to home, so they get a place in extras today.
