Silver Linings

A heartfelt thanks for all the kindness shown to yesterday's celebration. Kindness is contagious; blip always proves that in spades.

4 days of intense meetings is too much. Am shattered. We've had farce, anger and stress. Broken things have at best been splinted - but for now they've held and hopefully they will heal. The disgraceful behaviour of the International Union was at least countered by the slow but tangible progress our National Association has made in the last two days. Our productive team of 4 is now 5 - and number 6 shows potential. Whilst the seventh Director is a lost cause that's a result I can live with and work around as the non-executive director we've worked so hard to engage has finally been accepted. I became Chair to engender this transition and for the first time today i saw glimpses that it might finally be possible.
