Rose Crescent.
Looking towards Trinity St. This passage in the centre of Cambridge is the surviving yard of the 18thC inn, The Rose Tavern. The Rose building is now used as a café and shop but it was once the centre of corporation gossip and intrigue and the meeting place of the Alderman's club. The 'Little Gift Shop On The Corner,' is a popular place where tourists can buy quite a nice selection of souvenirs. I was in town today to visit the library and get a bt of shopping. Although the library looks smart after the refurbishment, some things have been moved, notably the latest DVD's which you can rent for a week for as little as £2-50p saving a lot on a family trip to the cinema. I actually couldn't find them today, maybe they are on another floor.
