Lightship's lifeboat

14C, bright and breezy. Fresh and good for walking.

Apothecary7's day off today. We decided to go to the M&S cafe in the food shop near City Quay in Dundee. A notion to see if they had carrot cake. They did. It was good. I think I prefer the one at 'House of Bruar', but this one was fine. We bought things for lunch and dinner while we were there.

In the Victoria Dock by City Quay (I assume it is Victoria Dock because the road is called Victoria Dock Road) the water was lower, so we got a whole new angle on the North Carr Lightship. The blip is from one of the lifeboats on the top deck, which was almost level with the quayside and very handy indeed :-)

Later we took Maeve the Deerhound for her walk, but we went along towards the Golf Hotel in Carnoustie and back along the High Street today rather than our one of our usual routes around Westhaven. Just for a change of scene :-)
