Decorating da Cake

Woke up to a beautiful day, 21 degrees in the garden this morning!  It clouded over with a couple of showers in the afternoon, but they soon passed and been a lovely sunny evening.  Sunset is after 10.30 now.

Day off, and headed out walkies with Sammy after breakfast.  I hopped in the car later and headed for Unst.  Mam is staying up for a while with Julie.  I arrived at lunchtime, and dropped off various things for Julie.  Helped with some chores, and then me and mam headed out to explore.  Lottie came home from school and we headed to the well to fetch clean water for her tadpoles.  Lovely tea with the in laws and a cuppa or two too.  Lovely drive home tonight.  

It's Anna's 8th birthday today.  She had a great day at school and then home to the family.  She wanted black pudding for her birthday tea, followed by homemade carrot cake.  After Julie finished the icing, Anna got to decorate her own cake, with helping hands of Lottie.  Taken at Lonahoull, Haroldswick, Unst.
