Flowers

SWMBO has once again been laid low by this infernal changing air pressure and a migraine.

I was hoping to get away somewhere today but that was not to be.
Instead I did a spot of gardening (just a spot - half an hour on my knees ripping out weeds was more than enough).
I also took some pictures of the few flowers that seem to be blooming in the garden.

The foxgloves seem a lot shorter this year for some reason, but there are a couple of open water lilies and two or three more buds trying to break the surface (which was a bit low so I had to top up the pond).
The common spotted orchids seem to be doing okay - although, again some of the crowns are a bit short.
The wisteria is smelling gorgeous despite the flower racemes being slightly spindly (probably due to it not being cut back the last two or three years).
The elder flowers are magnificent this year - but the tree is getting a bit big so they will be in for a shock when it gets cut back ........ severely
The Snake's Head Fritillary seedpods are coming on nicely and getting ready to pop (despite the aphids) which will mean even more of them next year. ( I couldn't quite get separation in this group due to the breeze and the awkward standing position).
