Soft, strong, and very very long

That's what they used to say about a certain brand of toilet paper. Top Gun is certainly a softy and definitely strong, and at 6'1" he's also long - but his dad can beat him in that department being 6'3". Well we have to have something over our kids don't we.

Board papers today. Never an easy task. Atmosphere at work was very flat - not much energy around, but I was only in for the afternoon, spent the other six hours of my day working at home. Did take cakes in to both our offices - whatever else happens this will be my last birthday with my current employer. Seemed to go down well. Don't let anyone tell you that the NHS is full of healthy eaters.

Great catch-up with an old colleague and friend this evening. Cheered me up. It's been a difficult year but I was reminded that I've worked with some fab people down the years and there have been a lot of good times ...
