When the Day that Lies Ahead of Me...

Look at this. Almost the End of September, after a week of gales, and torrential rain, every one is out today, jacketless, smiling, and without a care in the world.

Si is trekking the West Highland Way in glorious sunshine, Tooli is recovering from a cash drop in a night club, and Boy is on his way to commentate on the Girls Volleyball match, before commentating on the boys soccer. (Is lovely to sit up til 2.30 am in the morning listening to your Boy talking sport).

I have been in the town for coffee with my Mam.... Very nice, mmm, we opted for "Mini Double Meringues".

Hmm, that was maybe a mistake.... We imagined Mini Double Meringues to be normal sized ones..... and that Large Meringues would be ridiculously sized and impossible to eat. However they arrived, and they were actually smaller than the M&S mini meringues, and to be honest, we could have eaten the two in one bite.

I think next time I do meringue i will do Dobbies garden centre. All their meringues are too big to eat.

Despite it being a gorgeous day today, I'm a bit sad. This is the "Wind Festival" in the town. The beach is stowed with tents, wind surfers, kite surfers, land surfers, the sea has buoys dotted all round it to define the different race lanes. And all the kites are laying on the grass, and sand, and the buoys are sitting still in the water, with a perfect reflection underneath them. There is not a breath of wind. Nor is there any wind forecast for tomorrow either.

However, on Monday night, after everyone has packed up and gone home, there are gales of 49 miles per hour forecast.

Somethings you just can't plan.
