Maybe?

Happy pottering on the allotment in the morning. As well as the usual chores I changed the straw in the run - much to the appreciation of the girls! They were soon in there scatching around looking for tasty morsels! Less pleasurable was finding the two new sacks of food had got wet - must have happened whilst in the wheelbarrow waiting for the coop member to take them down - but as I had laid them flat and they were wet at the top I'm thinking he must have sat them up and left them before putting them in the bins! I Originally thought they had got wet from where I had bought them and had started to load the first one in the wheelbarrow to take it back. Good job I checked the second bag before I did! So I scooped out the wet bits and scattered them on vacant plots amongst the brambles! I'd leave it out for the wild birds but mouldy food not good for them and don't want to encourage the rats!
My squashes are still forming but I'm not convinced they will grow and ripen before they go mouldy. Plus the slugs are tucking into them so this stem has been elevated over a trug to try and deter them! You'd think with their spiky stems the slugs would not get to them - but they do!
As the morning  soon degenerated from sunshine to rain I picked some flowers, turned my thoughts away from all the work needing to be done to put the allotment to bed sometime in the near future and headed home.  I didn't do much else today - usual round of eating, reading, napping and knitting! But at least that was more than the two cats did - they just slept on their selected beds for the day until they fancied some food! Milkshake did tickle me though - most nonplussed by my yoga poses - pawed at my face, then seemed to adopt the same supine pose right next to my head as I did the Supine Twist, then sat next to my bum as I did the Wind Relieving Pose! Not very sensible of her!
