A bit of Vegas bling

Well the day has eventually dawned after an incredibly stormy night. Thunder and lightening, tHe magnitude of which i have not witnessed back home, rolled around and around for at least a couple of hours. Kymba scratched at my bedroom door in fright and when I opened the door she leapt up on my bed and wouldn't budge and it was ages before her breathing settled down. So I spent the remainder of the night cuddled into a golden retriever - a very new experience but not inducive of a good night's sleep!

Numerous roads this morning were flooded as the drainage system is simply not built to cope with sudden downbursts of this volume and indeed, any rain is a fairly novel experience. Do you think Vegas is also tearful at my departure? Anyway, after I had completed my packing and said farewell to my son as he went off to work, S and I headed down to the Strip for some last minute items and a blip (!). I am now in the Departure Lounge with my flight due to board in one hour's time - unlike Manchester, Vegas airport has free wi-Fi!

I hope you like the blip. I thought I should leave you with a little sparkly bling after my amazing holiday and to thank you all for joining me on my trip despite my lack of comments on your own journals.
