Game changer

I like a nickname. I particularly like a nickname that is just between you and that other person. I suppose it's because it emphasises your relationship with them. 

I've had various nicknames for all of my kids over the years. Some have stuck and some seem to keep on mutating. I can't even remember why I started calling Hannah "Beens", let alone why the greeting version of that is "Beenio!", but there it is.

I have pretty strict rules with myself when it comes to presents. I never tell anyone what I'm getting them and, as far as is possible, don't tell anyone else, either. Only the Minx has full access to my present buying (apart from the gifts for her, obvs).

I did bend the rules ever so slightly, this evening, sending Hannah a preview of the tag on her present.
