Humbled

I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas Day, it may have felt subdued at times but what a great day.

Our usual routine only this time it was a 6' 2" youngster who arrived on Mum & Dad's bed with Christmas Stockings in tow. The usual light breakfast as we contemplated our Stocking Gifts.

Lunch was grand, family gathered, laughing, having fun and enjoying each others company, dishes cleared away and then to the lounge for "what lies beneath the tree".
I felt truly humbled, our children have matured into fine young adults, Samantha had put a lot of time, effort and thought into her gifts. We all had individual, hand made, personalised gift tags, I shall treasure mine always. Joshua, earning his own money now had decided to treat his Mum and Dad to the things he had heard them say "Oh I like that" during the preceding months, I feel thoroughly spoilt.

The evening was spent relaxing, reading, playing and watching some TV, all in each others company.
