A day in York

We spent today exploring the city of York and what a wonderful place it is! So much history and architecture. We had a good walk around all the main sites. Taking in the Museum Gardens, Minster, Castle and The Shambles. We followed the cat trail which the kiddies thoroughly enjoyed. 20 cats hidden around the city centre buildings with a few clues on where to find them. We found 6 which wasn’t bad considering little legs were getting tired. We went into a quaint little tea shop for a sit down and all enjoyed some yummy treats.

It was then time to head home, but not before visiting the chocolate shop!

Home for 4pm and then once the kids were in bed it was operation birthday! Presents to be wrapped and cake to be made and decorated. I was going to keep it simple this year with having been away all weekend, but what the heck, my baby boy is only 4 once! It’s been a long evening but well worth it.
