Bare Necessities

Had the morning to do some work and get a spray tan while Gemma, my lovely childminder was on Audrey watch. I swear spray tans are Mother's Secret Helper. Without a regular one I would look even more deathly than I do already at the moment. They hide my huge eye bags. OK, disguise. Maybe not hide.

Am not even going to mention Audrey's reflux or sleep today as I am so bored of writing about it. From now on, I will only mention it if something improves. Deal?

Once my childminder handed Audrey back (my favourite part of the day), we wheeled off down to the nature reserve and enjoyed some greenery. And mud. Pram wheels are covered in the stuff, not to mention clogged with leaves (see pic - they are beautiful colours).

Spent the afternoon napping with Audrey and singing Jungle Book to her. Having children makes you so nostalgic about your own childhood. I found I knew every word to Bare Necessities but it is years since I watched the film. Some things you never forget. Such a wonderful film soundtrack.

Can't wait until Audrey's older and we can go through the whole back catalogue together - Lady and the Tramp, Annie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I suppose with all these new Pixar films, the old ones will probably have lost their charm by then which would be sad.

My little sister Laura popped over for Audrey's bath-time and pizza tonight. My sisters never visited me this much before Audrey along!!! I love it.
