Hiding from Birds

A morning popping over to check on the cat and then taking a walk along the old Puffing Billy train line that runs through Havant down to Hayling Island.  It is now a popular walking and cycling route.  We met a man who had found a lost dog.  He had reported it but was also walking up and down the line to see if he could find the owners.  The dog seemed unperturbed!

Down at the sea (see Extras) it was looking grey and the water was right up to the top of the shore.  For a cold grey February morning it was busy - dog walkers, people outside the pub having a drink and a local rowing club preparing to set out on the water.

On our return along the old railway we came across this bird hide.  We both liked the timber construction and especially the sawn ends of the logs on display.  At its foot there was a wildlife garden with some willow woven butterflies.  All rather charming and good to see.
