Day Two o da Beast

It's bitterly cold, with temperatures minus 2-5.  There was more snow over night, and snow showers through the day.  Clearer skies tonight, with the odd snow shower.

I was meant to be working in the museum office, but the day started with a school visit, and I was busy doing workshops on WWII.  After lunch, there was a full staff meeting, and hopefully no more redundancies for the near future.  Sammy was happy to wear his winter coat for walkies tonight, it's cold on his peerie paws.  Off to work in the pub later.

We sure are getting off lightly, compared to UK mainland.  Watching the news tonight, there's serious amounts of snow!  Most of the snow here had landed over Scalloway and Lerwick.  At lunchtime I popped down the road, thinking I was going to get some stunning snowy shots, but it was just a light dusting, and less the further south I travelled.  We have have escaped the Beast From The East.  This is looking towards the Glover Lodges, and the cliffs of Fladdabister in the distance.  Taken from Ocraquoy, Cunningsburgh.
