Trudging through the snow

Lovely slow start to the day this morning, before braving the snow and ice to go to Stamford.

After lunch, we headed out, the youngest fell asleep immediately in the push chair and clearly liked being snugly wrapped up, but out in the fresh air.  The eldest had great fun throwing snow, jumping in snow and generally enjoying himself.

We had a trip to the shoe shop as I was convinced the eldest was in need of new shoes (it being almost 6 months since he had new ones).  But no - still fine.  So I bought a pair of shoes instead and I'm delighted with them.

Husband had to head off late afternoon for a weekend away, it had been touch and go all day whether he would have to go, which coupled with the advice from the train company of 'do not travel' seemed to point towards the weekend being cancelled.  However, he's made it to London and all seems to be fine.....
