protest at the new site

For some reason, when I applied maximal pressure to my rear brake lever on the way home from the cinema, the front light cut out - completely, without even the standlight. I didn't have time to check the rear. Even if some action of the brake was squishing some wires about and shorting out either the split to the rear light or the feed to the front the standlight should still have remained on.
