A hot day
It was so hot last night I did not sleep well, and so this morning I thought I would go for a run outside in the cool morning air - but it was already hot and therefore not very cooling. Gavin came with me on my run, and as it was not a long run we also took Murdoch - he did okay for an old boy and Murdoch did quite well too!!
A very lazy day ensued, reading the newspapers outside and enjoying the warm weather. Gavin has been working on the sprinkler system adding extra sprinkler heads and fixings pipes that have got lose. Every summer we usually lose so many plants due to the hot weather and lack of water so that should no longer be a problem now.
This is a view of the river in the village, I thought it looked so cool and green, just the spot to be on a hot day.
Luke has just texted me to say he was in a museum next door to the Berlin Cathedral where it seems some nutter went on a rampage. Quite scary that he was so close by to this incident.
Its the end of half term, school starts again tomorrow. Thomas has worked very hard preparing for his summer exams which are in a few weeks time. Adam finished exams yesterday, it was a very hard and tiring week for him with 5 tough exams in 6 days. Hopefully he has done well enough to be admitted to the 4th year Masters (in Bio Chemistry) course next year
